.::GHSGT::.

GHSGT is the Georgia's High School Graduation Test. I just finished taken the Social Studies portion of the test. This is how I rated how difficult the test was:

Math > Lanuguage Arts > Social Studies > Science
Math was the easiest portion- there was a question about the tip of the pencil ((What is the shape of the tip of the pencil? A. cylinder/ B. cone/ C. sphere/ D. pyrmaid)). It was the first question, and it gave me the feeling that the whole school thought we were kindergartens!
The Lanuage Arts portion was simple--we didn't have to memorize any authors or poems. For the most part, we have to read and answer the questions. Plus you have to know what the Puritans were and know the terms for poetry, like alliteration or simile.
The Social Studies was the combination of hard and easy. For one thing, it has maps and charts in which is used to answer some of the questions. But one must know what each amendments were about, congress, wars, and history.
The Science portion has many element questions (periods and groups..). The easy questions were about biology. The hardest were from chemistry and physics. Although it lack any equations and problems to solve, I'd say that it would be much EASIER if it did because there were formulas given in the first page of the test.
*~*~*
The test was easy (mostly) and I hoped that I passed it. I would hate to retake the test again! (I don't want to reread every single passage in language Arts portion or memorize the amendments!) I would say that I might have failed at the Science or Social Studies....just as long I didn't fail the easy portions of the test.
